The subject of this work is a woman trying on a hat. The vibes of this work are a bridge between past and present, as it is a tribute to the history of fashion and is designed for all fashion and fashion enthusiasts. The shades of yellow are vibrant and bright, allowing the figures represented to stand out from the background. The work was created in 2004 on a type of old plasticized paper (resistant), which was then canvassed by the artist, therefore… mounted on a rigid support (canvas), which has hooks on the back that allow the work to be hung instantly even though there is no real frame around the edges. In fact, the fake frame was created by the artist with colors and a rigid canvas support, with the intent of transmitting a technical and refined message that is as original and distinctive as possible.
Len Vernaghi, originally from Porrentruy but deeply rooted in Italy, is a multidisciplinary person: painter, photographer, designer, textile artist, engraver, sculptor. He stands out for his portable fresco technique, combining traditional pigments with alternative solutions, and uniting contrasting themes and styles. Her works reveal a powerful socio-political commitment, giving voice to frugality, nature, femininity and marginal places, with an atmosphere of wonder derived from her dreamlike subjects.
