In my work, I tried to capture the vibrant essence and poetry of a rainy day in Paris. Using watercolor, I created nuanced scenes and colors that dance together, reflecting the dreamy and almost naive atmosphere of the city in the rain. The magical touch, in addition, is given by the use of glitter glued on paper: they release brilliance and strokes of light like fireflies with every movement of the light, natural or artificial, reflecting it. This… makes the painting dynamic and lively. The figures, barely outlined, and the iconic Eiffel Tower, merge in an explosion of bright colors and impressionist movements, inviting the viewer to get lost in a romantic and intimate passage through Paris. This painting is a hymn to the beauty of small things and the joy of urban walks, no matter the weather.
Len Vernaghi, originally from Porrentruy but deeply rooted in Italy, is a multidisciplinary person: painter, photographer, designer, textile artist, engraver, sculptor. He stands out for his portable fresco technique, combining traditional pigments with alternative solutions, and uniting contrasting themes and styles. Her works reveal a powerful socio-political commitment, giving voice to frugality, nature, femininity and marginal places, with an atmosphere of wonder derived from her dreamlike subjects.
