River Landscape 11 - 2025 - Oil on canvas - 70 x 90 cm
In this work, executed in oil on canvas, I explore the tranquility of an untouched river landscape. My aim was to capture the topographical details – from the flat, rocky riverbed in the foreground to the striking blue-grey mountain massif – in a clear, structured composition.
I deliberately chose a cool, natural color palette to evoke the freshness of a bright, clear day. The light in this… scene is direct and unadulterated, lending the work an almost meditative stillness. The materiality of the oil paint further enhances the depth of the wooded slopes and the transparency of the water.
For me, this image embodies the deep peace of the wilderness – a window into a world where nature is still completely at peace with itself.
