About this artwork
In Veiled Desire, the female face emerges with a quiet intensity that invites intimate contemplation. The pastel chalk technique accentuates the softness of the skin and the depth of the gaze, where a restrained, almost secret emotion is hinted at. Light glides over the contours of the face and hair, revealing a serene yet powerful presence. The neutral background focuses attention on the expression, allowing the protagonist's inner story—her desire,… her strength, her mystery—to speak for itself. This work is part of Faces That Speak, a series dedicated to honoring the diversity and sensitivity of women through portraits that convey emotional truth.
Lenin Rosgod, born in Venezuela and residing in Spain, uses media such as graphite, ink, acrylic, dry pastel, and colored pens, combining his background in graphic design with a self-taught passion for drawing. His technique fuses spontaneous lines, crosshatching, and doodles full of humor and honesty, creating characters with emotional colors and suggestive gestures. His works convey tenderness, introspection, and spirituality, inviting reflection on identity, transformation, and the search for belonging, always celebrating beauty in the fragile and everyday.
