About this artwork
It was a hot summer's day. I was standing in front of the swimming pool. In front of me was a white car, a work of art from the 1960s. The bright light blurred the halftones. Everything was simple. Glass walls, a pool, a dark blue sky, a palm tree and the vast sea. I took a few photos. I used these photos when creating the painting. I did many versions of the painting. It was lovely, but something was missing. Then I painted the word “Siesta” on…
