“Where the machine ends and the landscape begins”
This work emerges from the intersection of industry and nature, between what was built to endure and what inevitably transforms. Composed of corroded metal nuts and bolts, the piece rises like a living body that reveals a new morphology: that of wear, time, and neglect.
Iron oxide covers the surface with its reddish patina, not like a flaw, but like a language. It speaks of deterioration, yes, but… also of a silent beauty that springs from what no longer fulfills its original function. Here, the structure loses its industrial rigidity to take on organic, almost mineral forms, as if nature were reclaiming its place within the metal.
In a world saturated with production and waste, this work doesn't seek to offer answers, but rather to provoke questions. What remains when the function is exhausted? Can waste be a symbol?
