About this artwork
This series is a new attempt to reflect on my visions and, at the same time, to address my anxieties and worries about the future, as well as my failures and periods of artistic respite. Especially in such difficult times, which contradict many moral norms, I always find a source of strength. But my faith, and of course the hope for a better future, give me strength. All of this encourages me to keep going, to create, and not to doubt.
« For me, it's about using art as a mouthpiece and showing things that must not be shown in other media. »
I was born in Poland; Stettin, a city full of memories, where I lived through the 70s and early 80s with full awareness. An intense time full of uprisings and new beginnings, full of oppression and repression, but also hope for better times. But unresolved problems, conversations that lead nowhere, drive me to leave my home country. In a situation like this, after fleeing, I have no choice but to find myself again. Despite many fears and negative feelings, I finally feel positive things again, like love, friendship and security. With respect for art in general and painting in particular, I express all feelings in my art. I process thoughts, feelings and impressions that occupy me intensely. I want my art not only to reflect my love of dynamic and aesthetic colors and shapes, but also to initiate thought processes and spark discussions.
