About this artwork
The artist constructs a visceral landscape of layered feeling—an abstract composition that moves beyond form into pure, unfiltered energy. Wide horizontal bands of searing orange break through fields of pale blue, lime green, and deep maroon, creating a tension that is both visual and emotional. The textured surface, marked by thick impasto and raw scraping, invites the viewer to look not just at the painting—but into it.
At once vibrant and conflicted,… the work evokes themes of emotional layering, inner conflict, and transformation. The vibrant orange may be read as a symbol of selfhood or urgency, surrounded and constrained by cooler hues that suggest calm, memory, or dissonance. The darker bands near the base ground the piece, echoing the weight of subconscious thought or unresolved history.
There is no central figure, no defined landscape—only sensation. The artist’s deliberate rejection of symmetry and embrace of imperfection reflects a search for authenticity.
