About this artwork

Spring on the California coast brings bursting yellow wildflowers framing the wild Pacific. This location is the Twin Lakes Beach in Santa Cruz, about two hours south of San Francisco. The lighthouse keeps watch as the rugged waves bob, it really is an idyllic spot, and is beloved by locals and tourists alike.

"Coastal Quietude" is an original oil painting on canvas, created in Lisa's signature deep impasto style. The thickly applied and large kinetic… palette knife strokes create an explosion of movement and color, which sends the eye roving around the canvas.
