About this artwork
"Ambre" is a work that depicts a woman in profile. Her banana bun is reminiscent of the 1960s. The application of real gold leaf recalls the color of amber, hence the title of this work. Amber stone has soothing and calming properties and promotes relaxation. I wanted to direct the viewer's eye to the voluminous shape of her hairstyle and her profile. I like the roundness of the shapes in painting.
