About this artwork
Under the influence of the works of Rembrandt and Goya, my usual bright palette was replaced by browns, reds and subdued colors. Being inspired by the old masters, I created my own version, the mosaic brush strokes are in a limited number of colors.
In this oil painting, I've captured a moment of profound immersion . The varied brushstrokes and impressionistic style convey the depth of contemplation as the subject is immersed in literature. There's… a quiet energy here; it's about the private, intense connection one has with a great story. Bringing this piece into your home will add a layer of intellectual and emotional richness, sparking conversations and inner musings.
« In my works, I try to portray not a human face or body, but a soul. »
