About this artwork

When is the best time to reflect, to analyze your life? For thinking about what I should have said in response to that person, but said some nonsense. Thoughts about the meaning of life and whether I put food in the refrigerator. Of course, this is the time to sleep. So you will lie for half the night, thoughts in your head appear one by one, and there is no time to sleep. The girl is not just awake, she is incredibly puzzled, a question on… her lips. Around her there is an endless space in which she is, she does not seem to lie but floats in the air. Only the forged details of the bed remind that she is in her bedroom. Perhaps if you attach it opposite to it, you will get a dialogue.

Liubou Sas is a prize-winning artist based in Belarus whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Her disctinctive landscapes ,abstractions and portraits are created in a particular style which is influenced by both expressionism and impressionism. What interests Sas most in her artistic process is the "person as an image" and the translation of their spirit onto canvas. She most often creates using acrylics and oils.
