About this artwork

When the pandemic and self-isolation began, I realized that this is my usual way of life. I can spend hours in my studio drawing or thinking. For some, self-isolation is a test. in my picture I tried to portray a girl who loves communication, movement, but due to the pandemic, she has to spend time at home. Sometimes, she gets nervous, resorting to a cigarette. And how are you ? do you feel uncomfortable or like your artist? The work is done… in a free, expressive manner on high quality linen canvas. Liubou Sas is a prize-winning artist based in Belarus whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Her disctinctive landscapes ,abstractions and portraits are created in a particular style which is influenced by both expressionism and impressionism. What interests Sas most in her artistic process is the "person as an image" and the translation of their spirit onto canvas. She most often creates using acrylics and oils.
