About this artwork
To me, there is no greater sanctuary than a field of wildflowers at the end of the day. This painting is a confession of my deep love for the sun and the raw, honest beauty of the world exactly as it is.
I am endlessly captivated by the way the sun refuses to go down quietly - how it pours its golden soul over the grass, turning every petal into a tiny flame. There is a wild, unscripted rhythm in nature that doesn't need to be perfected or tamed.…
I painted this to hold onto that feeling of standing in the wind, surrounded by the scent of lavender and the warmth of a fading sky. It’s a reminder that we are part of this living, breathing earth. My hope is that when you look at these colors, you feel the same peace I do - the simple, profound joy of being alive under a setting sun.
