About this artwork
In this work, I've fused the intensity of pastel, colored pencil, and chalk to capture the dynamic, almost ethereal essence of the human figure in motion. The colors and abstract shapes intertwine figuratively and symbolically, reflecting the passion and energy that come from dance and play. These shapes not only dance with each other, but invite the observer to feel that same vibration and joy. This piece will bring a breath of life and excitement… to any space, radiating movement and harmony.
LOLA TUDELA. Graduate in Decorative Arts and Interior Design. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, specializing in painting, printmaking, and portraiture. In both painting, drawing, and printmaking, I don't think of things as static, but rather in synchronization with the continuous and vertiginous movement of the Universe. I relate the human figure to the Ionic column. The volutes and the column are present in many of my works, expressing the conjunction of the feminine. My printmaking work is done using plates, mostly metal and wood. In painting, my technique is sensitive and confident, characterized by a fluid gesture, a considered composition, and a refined use of color and texture. I handle line with precision and spontaneity at the same time; each stroke is perceived as intentional yet free. The color palette is subtle but expressive, balancing warm and neutral earth tones. I use a layering of textures and materials.
