About this artwork

In this painting, I captured a moment of layered emotions and untold stories. A sense of connection and solitude can be felt simultaneously. There are three human stories in the same frame: the man looking directly at the artist, the woman seen from the profile engaged in a conversation, and the old man with the white hat that is standing outside the space in which the first two characters sit in, but can be seen through the glass wall. Three destinies… intersecting for a brief moment, one afternoon in a Bucharest cafe.
