About this artwork
The apple is the symbol of returning to one's origin, of overcoming original sin. The water that deconstructs the forms, gives back to the figure its formless nature, its original primary identity. With the return to the liquid and shared universal flow, the fruit returns intact.

« My art is a meditative act. My goal is to seek my elevation by depositing the fruits of my inner work on the canvas. »
Lorenzo Sperzaga is an Italian painter whose works have been widely exhibited on a national level. Inspired by the Baroque, his paintings feature subjects with dramatic expressions, and contain symbolism associated with spiritual themes. He also explores the interplay between light and shadow, and the symbolism inherent in both. Sperzaga's artistic process focuses on the 'emotional condition' and concentration. He creates using oils, enamels, and acrylics on canvas.
