"I chose this work for its beautiful experimentation in landscape. I enjoyed its ability to capture nature while using a language of abstraction." - Emily Olek, MoMa curator.
Inspired by the plains… of the Western United States, "Where the Buffalo Roam" captures the vast open spaces where nature thrives. The skies are expansive, and the eye can travel for miles.
This captivating painting features layers of transparent color and rich textures, bringing the tranquility and majesty of the wide-open plains into your home.
In this timeless abstract landscape, embrace the serenity and grandeur of the natural world in the western region of North America.
« I enjoy watching the way paint moves while I work. As I follow the paint eventually a landscape will appear, like magic. »
Lori Latham is an American artist whose works have been widely exhibited on a national level. Drawn to painting abstract landscapes, she employs bold colors and strives to create pieces that soothe and restore the soul. Through her art, Lantham invites the viewer on a journey to "find the secret hideaway that calls to them". Using thin layers of acrylics with a wide variety of non-traditional painting tools, and in the application and removal of paint, the landscape eventually appears.
