Simply being – Happy vanity
Created in 2011 in Helsingborg, Sweden, for the Bara Vara restaurant, this work is part of the Bara vara series (“Simply being”), a set of four paintings celebrating the freedom to be oneself, sensuality, the joy of living and being present in the moment.
In this mirror, perfection is not the goal, but pleasure. The figure gazes at itself with tenderness, amusement, and confidence. Between the vibrant pink, the generous… curves, and the theatrical elegance of the setting, the artwork celebrates the freedom to love oneself as one is. An invitation to smile at one's reflection and embrace one's own beauty with lightness.
Based on an original work measuring 150 × 130 cm created in 2011. One of the original works from the series joined a private collection in 2014.
Printed on museum-quality art paper, published in a limited edition of 36 copies, numbered and signed by hand.
Orders open until August 15th. Shipping begins in early September.
