About this artwork
My inspiration came from my trip to Venice, as well as thoughts about love, relationships and deepest worries. The figures are stylised in my unique way through the dancing lines, emphasising impersonal connections between two people rather than individual characteristics. The gondola, a classic symbol of Venice, becomes a vessel for two souls navigating the waters of life together. The background of flowers with angels inside adds a layer of emotional… depth, reinforcing the theme of love.
In 2023, this artwork was selected for exhibition at the Florence Biennale.
