About this artwork
Belonging to the phase preceding the Think Vertical project, Labyrinth 7 represents the moment of horizontal research, when humanity is still immersed in the labyrinth of life, searching for orientation.
Entirely painted in white, the work is inhabited by a multitude of sheep wandering aimlessly, a symbol of humanity on the move, united but disoriented, still lacking the vertical direction of transcendence.
White becomes suspended space, a light… that does not reveal but waits, a threshold between the visible and the invisible.
In this suspension, one senses the upward tension: the desire to overcome the confines of the labyrinth and open up to the verticality of faith, to the inner metamorphosis that will give rise to Think Vertical.
Luciana Gallo is an Italian visual artist with an interdisciplinary background that intertwines dance, fashion, and the visual arts. She works across installations, sculptures, painting, and performance, employing materials such as resin, fabric, wood, and gold leaf. Her technique unfolds like a visual choreography, combining symbolic abstraction, material experimentation, and a balance between lightness and density, through meditative gestures and a focus on symbolism. Her works convey a profound tension between fragility and hope, inviting the viewer to seek light and transcendence even in the complexity of everyday life.
