About this artwork
With this wooden sculpture, I wanted to capture the essence of transformation. The figure rising and emerging from a dolomitic ammonite, a symbol of protection and rebirth, while the hair blown by the wind expresses lightness and movement. This work will bring vibrant energy and a touch of poetry to any space, evoking emotions of hope and harmony.

Luciano De Barba lives in Limana in the province of Belluno in the heart of the Dolomites. His sculptural training began in 2004, and his artistic adventure began with his first sculpture competition in 2006.
She experiments with different techniques, ranging from figurative to abstract and stylized, alternating smooth and rough surfaces, using rocks and pebbles as bases, and employing color and burn details. Her works evoke lightness, elegance, and delicacy, conveying a profound emotion inspired by nature and its nuances.
Wood, in its various essences, remains the preferred material, but clay also plays an important role in the search for new intertwined and imprisoned harmonies, in perfecting new dictates, in wooden sculpture, thus embracing the origins of the universe. Air, earth, water, and fire, elements from which he draws memory and structure.
