"The First Stone" is more than a work: it is a symbol, a beginning, a declaration. It is not only my first stone sculpture, but the first real step into the world of sculpture, the inaugural act of a consciously chosen path, the seed of a new creative existence.
This sculpture invites a multisensory experience: the viewer is not simply an observer, but an active participant in the work. Created to be appreciated in 360°, it has no front or back:… every shift in perspective alters the perception, and the figures enclosed within are revealed in ever-new ways.
Through sight and touch, "The First Stone" becomes a bridge between art and those who experience it, transforming matter into emotion, gesture into dialogue, the first step on a never-ending journey.
Ludovico Graziano, with a solid education spanning art school, design studies, and an apprenticeship with Martin Gerull, creates works ranging from sculpture in clay, wood, stone, wax, and bronze, to designs with metals and sand. His technique is experimental and multifaceted: each material is chosen and crafted using intuitive processes, alternating classical rigor with impulsive, exploratory gestures. His art invites a sensorial and emotional journey, capable of profoundly moving the viewer's soul and awakening a rich array of feelings.
