About this artwork
In creating this work, I wanted to explore the deep connections between generations. The use of oil allowed me to capture the intensity of the sunset that symbolizes the end of an era and the beginning of another. Expressionism and impressionism merge to create a scene that is both temporal and eternal, reflecting the cyclical nature of life. The figures, an old man and a child, represent wisdom and innocence, encouraging reflection on our own life… journey and the lessons we pass on to the young. This canvas exudes a sense of calm but also hope, perfect for harmonizing any space with its quiet and reflective energy.
Luigi Abbiati is a classically trained artist, he uses Maimeri oil colors on linen and cotton blend canvas. His unique style and traditional techniques blend to create works that reflect his personal interpretation of the world around him. His paintings arouse intimate emotions, recreating the very essence of his inner world.
