The morning fog slowly envelops the landscape, creating an atmosphere of mystery and stillness. Its dense veils of water vapor obscure details, making everything seem more silent and muffled. Waiting in the fog before dawn is like entering a dream, where everything seems suspended between reality and imagination. The morning fog, with its cool and fleeting embrace, invites reflection and calm, offering moments of peace before the day takes on its… vibrant rhythm.
Vestmannaeyjar is an archipelago off the southern coast of Iceland. It consists of approximately 15 islands and numerous islets, including Heimaey, the largest and most populous. The islands are named after the Irish slaves brought to Iceland by Norse settlers, as "Vestmannaeyjar" translates to "Islands of the Westerners."

Luigi Morbidelli is a self-taught photographer with a background in music, deeply connected to both film and digital photography, who moved to Iceland to pursue his passion for nature. He favors a classic technique and style, drawing inspiration from reality and color to capture breathtaking landscapes in an authentic and personal way. His shots convey a profound sense of freedom, inner peace, and a desire to protect nature, inviting the viewer to experience emotion and respect for the environment. "I don't photograph nature; I listen to it, breathe it, and let it speak through my light. My creative art merges with nature, and this...because everything I see conveys an idyllic and celestial peace and serenity." If you experience these feelings, then my art is for you!
