About this artwork
In this work, I captured the fragility and transience of human existence. The blurred contours symbolize the constantly shifting boundaries between reality and emotion. The color scheme and expression evoke an intense, almost poetic tension that combines color and movement into a vibrant energy. This image brings depth and intensity to any space.
« My art celebrates being different, just being yourself. Stories of people who long to belong. »
German artist Lukas Moll creates figurative portraits of fictional characters that explore themes such as identity, belonging, and the feeling of otherness—often with a queer perspective. His melancholic works appear both vulnerable and powerful, inviting the viewer to take a closer look.
He has been working as a self-taught artist for over ten years, exhibiting his works at art fairs and in established galleries and museums. His works are included in private collections at home and abroad.
In addition to his artistic work, he is committed to queer visibility – for example, as founder of the online gallery "Queer Art Hub" for queer artists and host of the podcast Queer Art Talk. In his art, Lukas Moll strives to create emotional depth and create spaces that touch.
