About this artwork
In this work, I captured the fragile beauty of human emotions in oil on canvas. The blended colors and the vague figure lend the image a mysterious depth. It invites the viewer to reflect themselves and feel the connection between light and shadow. This painting brings a warm, thoughtful energy to any room.
« My art celebrates being different, just being yourself. Stories of people who long to belong. »
German artist Lukas Moll creates figurative portraits of fictional characters that explore themes such as identity, belonging, and the feeling of otherness—often with a queer perspective. His melancholic works appear both vulnerable and powerful, inviting the viewer to take a closer look.
He has been working as a self-taught artist for over ten years, exhibiting his works at art fairs and in established galleries and museums. His works are included in private collections at home and abroad.
In addition to his artistic work, he is committed to queer visibility – for example, as founder of the online gallery "Queer Art Hub" for queer artists and host of the podcast Queer Art Talk. In his art, Lukas Moll strives to create emotional depth and create spaces that touch.
