About this artwork
In this piece I wanted to capture that sense of tranquillity that comes with the acceptance that all things are in flow and come and go in their own time. For me, watching water is a great way to get into that frame of mind.

Lyra Morgan is an award-winning painter who resides in the United Kingdom. Though not always obvious, her paintings are influenced by the serenity of water. She is fascinated by the transient nature of the substance that can take many forms, yet is formless. Also, the Japanese concept of ‘Wabi-Sabi’ is prevalent in Morgan’s works, which is the belief in the positive outcome of serendipity. Her artistic process involves the playful layering of colours.
