About this artwork
"Love is Amour" is a smaller piece that the artist enjoys creating while working on a larger pieces. Her mind always needs to stay connected to her art and she always work on a large piece and a smaller at the same time. She explains it as managing her creativity and not waisting her inspiration. The black & white minis were created during the Black Lives Matter movement. Manaz wanted to say love is love... and there is beauty is dark times. Light…
always comes after dark and you can see the light in her dark shades.

« The universe gifted me a French edge, a Californian dream and some hot boiling Afghan blood and I channel it through my art. »
Manaz Raiszadeh is an artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States. Referring to herself as an "intuitionist abstract painter", the genesis of her artistic inspiration comes from her parent's tale and her Afghani cultural background. Raiszadeh often depicts houses and villages in her compositions, as she believes that "we can all relate to the place where we are from". She creates using acrylics, pastels, and collage on canvas or wood.
