About this artwork
Life is full of oxymorons and the artist is fascinated by that idea. She describes this piece by the play of the bold black and the soft off-white symbolizing the Yin and Yang. The piece is a representation of the harmony of all differences in the world. The colors are rich, bold, cold, quiet, loud, muted... It just lives together.

« The universe gifted me a French edge, a Californian dream and some hot boiling Afghan blood and I channel it through my art. »
Manaz Raiszadeh is an artist based in France whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States. Referring to herself as an "intuitionist abstract painter", the genesis of her artistic inspiration comes from her parent's tale and her Afghani cultural background. Raiszadeh often depicts houses and villages in her compositions, as she believes that "we can all relate to the place where we are from". She creates using acrylics, pastels, and collage on canvas or wood.
