Khan el-Khalili is a historic bazaar located in the heart of… Cairo, Egypt. It was established in the 14th century during the Mamluk period by Emir Jaharkas al-Khalili. Originally designed as a caravanserai (a Medieval caravan hub) Khan el-Khalili has become a symbol of Cairo's rich history, showcasing traditional jewelry, carpets, fabrics, metal crafts, and serving as a gathering place for cultural exchange.
