About this artwork
"Humsafar" is an Urdu word that roughly translates to "life companion" or "fellow traveller". It can also be interpreted to be a fellow traveller through samsara, through many reincarnations of both souls. I have used this idea to depict the profound companionship between a person and their dog, set against a vibrant, emotive sunset.
