The Venus of Cyrene presents a fragmented female figure suspended in a dark and indeterminate space. The body decomposes into organic volumes that float and reorganize themselves, moving away from a realistic anatomy to become a symbolic presence.
The work engages with the classical tradition of Venus, but transforms it into a metaphysical image: without a defined face or fixed identity. Each fragment functions… as an autonomous unit, suggesting a body constructed from memory, desire, and inner perception.
The emptiness surrounding the figure reinforces its timeless and dreamlike character, placing it in a realm where the physical and the mental merge. The painting does not represent a specific body, but rather an idea of the feminine as an archetype and a form in constant transformation.
