Eines meiner bevorzugten Sujets ist das malen der Wildtiere hier der Berglöwe.
Der Berglöw ist vor dem Aussterben bedorht und ich setzte mich bei der Malerei gern für den Artenschutz zum Erhalt der Tiere ein.
Auch weil ich häufig während des malens eine besondere Verbindung zu meinem Gegenüber verspüre. Das kraftvolle, geheimnisvolle nicht zu bändigende in einem Wildtier macht für uns Menschen häufig einen gewissen… Reiz aus. Ich freue mich während des Schaffens das Tier zum Leben zu erwecken. Nie in der Unterwürfigkeit sondern immer als Individuum uns Menschen gegenüber.

Manuela Rathje is an experienced artist from Germany whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally. After practicing drawing for awhile, Rathje decided to become a painter, focusing on portraits of both people and animals in bright color palettes. Working in acrylic on canvas, she represents her subjects as individuals with their own unique spirits, capturing their emotions and mood.
