About this artwork
Ich lasse mich sehr gern von der Natur inspirieren und entdecke immer wieder Neues. Dinge die uns alltäglich erscheinen zaubern mir bei genauer Betrachtung ein Lächeln ins Gesicht.. Jeden Tag schau ich auf unseren Teich und erfreue mich über das wilde Getümmel der Entenpaare. Zunächst waren es zwei Enten. ich konnte erkenne wie sich im Laufe der Monate das Gefieder der Enten verfärbt und bei dem Erpel sein wunderschöner blau grünen Kopf zum Vorschein…
kommt.
Dann kamen im Laufe der Wochen immer mehr Pare hinzu. Eine laute Kommunikation unter den Paaren beim Starten und Landen, sowie die Neuankunft neuer Nebenbuhler wird lautstark kommentiert. Mit lautem Geschnatter werden die Neuankömmlinge über den gesamten Teich gejagt. Die Tauchgänge sind immer eine wahre Freude, wen sich der PO in die Höhe streckt und die Beinchen in der Luft zappeln. Die Natur ist eben ein wunderschöner Schöpfer und man kann sich an so vielen Dingen erfreuen.

Manuela Rathje is an experienced artist from Germany whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally. After practicing drawing for awhile, Rathje decided to become a painter, focusing on portraits of both people and animals in bright color palettes.
