About this artwork
"Why" was exhibited in New York for a long time in the Artifact gallery and greeted visitors at the entrance, who then had to make a statement about visiting the gallery. "Why" - we all ask ourselves in between and especially our children want to know "why this is so". The picture pulls a red thread through the face, so that one could think it is about an aggression or a protest. In this sense, the picture is more expressive and versatile than one… might think. A small miniature with great expressiveness.
« My work serves me as a tool to be able to break through conventional perspectives. »
