About this artwork
In this work, I approach the figure of the horse from a more intimate and contemplative place. I am interested in capturing not only its physical presence, but also the depth of its gaze and the sensitivity conveyed by its silence.
I work with light and shadow to reveal fragments, allowing certain parts to emerge while others dissolve into darkness. This contrast allows me to build a more emotional atmosphere where the viewer fills in what is not… fully visible.
The horse, as in much of my work, appears as a symbol of strength and nobility, but also of vulnerability. In this case, I seek to stop the movement and remain in a more introspective moment, almost suspended in time.
This painting is, for me, an exploration of the silent connection between the animal and the observer, an encounter that occurs beyond the obvious.
