About this artwork
This work captures the vibrant and ephemeral essence of emotions hidden beneath the surface. I used oil paint to create deep layers, where subtle tones and abstract shapes evoke a sense of mystery and calm. I wanted to convey the inner complexity and serenity that often coexist, bringing a gentle, contemplative energy to any space where it is displayed.

Marc Janus is a Spanish artist whose paintings have been featured in several solo and group exhibitions nationally. His intention is to convey beauty through his art, as it is "everywhere and you just have to stop to look". Janus' research into the wooden blocks used in ancient Egyptian culture to decorate fabrics has influenced his artistic expression over the past twelve years. He creates order then destroys it, producing an engaging balance that lives in chaos and disorder.
