About this artwork
Flamingo is a mixed-media work composed of assembled and painted found objects. Conceived in 2025 after discovering a doll leg on a beach in Croatia. I knew right there that I will make a flamingo out of it. I took it home and kept it for almost a year. The piece was realized in early 2026, when I got a sudden wave of courage and inspiration. From a distance, the flamingo appears elegant; up close, its fragile, damaged construction reflects the vulnerability…
of contemporary nature. An onlooker, captivated by its beauty, remains unaware of this condition. The work is mounted on a three-ply wood panel with an acrylic-painted background.
The artwork is varnished and not framed. It was created as a wall art piece. I highly recommend framing the artwork.
