About this artwork
"Beside and in the World" is one of 41 works which were created as the third work cycle during the time of the Covid 19 pandemic.
It is and is pure painting, gestural form emanations found and manifested while working on other paintings, color mixtures - thus traces of the search for corresponding color tones.
Just as a consumer at a Viennese sausage stand, recently granted World Heritage status, dips their sausage, etc., into mustard and stirs… it a bit, one could say I move the brushes and paints around these palettes until the desired color results are achieved. One could also say: "Life - Food - Mixing Colors."
Further references to the integration into world events can be found in the titles.

He combines precise craftsmanship with conceptual approaches, making his works both visually and intellectually compelling. His style oscillates between classical expressiveness and contemporary reflexivity. In his works, he conveys profound feelings of beauty, wonder, but also contemplation in the face of social injustices and the possibilities for improving our world.
