Silent Drift 2 continues the tranquil, contemplative visual language of its predecessor, while simultaneously imbuing it with a warmer, more emotional tone. Gentle layers of pale apricot, dark blue, and muted gray glide across the screen, accompanied by subtle reddish-brown nuances that lend the composition a soft depth. The tones appear both airy and earthy – like a memory suspended between warmth and distance.
Painted on unstretched canvas and… later framed in linden wood, the surface bears delicate traces of its creation: fine creases in the weave and the structured layering of the paint. These imperfections are part of the work's character, lending it a tactile honesty and a quiet sense of time.
