About this artwork
A vacation in Andalusia inspired this idea. The flamenco dancer swings her beautifully embroidered shawl into the air. She dances and moves as if in a trance. She surrenders completely to the fiery sounds and fills the entire room with her passionate energy. The way her eyes sparkle is enchanting, yet magical, and to this day, the variety of sounds from that night in Seville resonates within me. A wonderful memory. The picture should capture this…

Music is my source of inspiration. I paint with acrylics on canvas and then digitally edit my paintings. Many of my motifs were inspired by music from Mozart, Brahms, or Tchaikovsky. I live in Salzburg. A seven-year stay abroad in New York City, Mexico, and Buenos Aires allowed me to experience diverse cultures. In Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, my husband, conductor Jorge Uliarte, and I founded the southernmost festival in the world. Most people around the globe desire peace. My artwork is meant to symbolize this.
