About this artwork
This painting is part of my ongoing exploration of tropical trees and the quiet pockets of nature found in everyday life. I’ve always been drawn to bamboo - the way it stands tall and steady, yet remains flexible. It bends with the wind, but it doesn’t break.
While working on this piece, I focused on the rhythm of vertical greens - calm, structured, grounding - contrasted with fiery reds and oranges that introduce movement and energy.
Across cultures,… especially in Asia, bamboo symbolizes resilience, adaptability, inner strength, and longevity. Through this painting, I wanted to capture not only its visual beauty, but also these qualities - a reminder that true strength lies in staying grounded while remaining open to change.
