Margarita Ivanova is an artist who works with various mediums based on the principle of palimpsest – multiple layers of paintings or graphics. These are completely proprietary techniques. Painting - where only oil is used in combination with various mediums, the number of very thin layers reaches 50-60. The theoretical foundation of her artistic practice is metamodernism and new sincerity, and she defines the main method by the term "oscillation".…
In her works, Margarita explores fluctuations between internal and external, personal and collective, between the community system and the subject system, as well as ways of interpenetration and fragmentation of images.
