About this artwork
This piece bursts with vibrant energy, capturing the passionate dance of crimson blooms against a golden backdrop. I poured raw emotion into every brushstroke, letting the reds drip and flow freely, symbolizing both intensity and vulnerability. Bringing this into your space ignites warmth and boldness, inviting a dynamic conversation between color and emotion that enlivens any room with spirited elegance.
I was born in Jakobstad, Finland, where I developed a strong connection to art from an early age, spending time in my uncle’s studio, artist Bo Aurens. After studying at the Västra Nyland’s Art Program, my path shifted with my move to Hong Kong in 1989. The years spent there, combined with extensive travel, deeply expanded my perspective and guided my practice toward abstraction.
Returning to Scandinavia in 1997 marked a new phase in my artistic research, focused on energy, vibration, and spiritual exploration through gesture and color. Since 2017, my work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions internationally, including projects such as Trinus, Ma, and Zanshin, alongside collaborations with galleries, fairs, and interdisciplinary projects.
Today, my practice continues to evolve through an ongoing dialogue between memory and transformation, where form and color become tools to explore what lies beyond the visible.
