About this artwork
This painting is a spontaneous tribute to nature and the simplicity of things with a bucolic feel. I wanted to represent the lightness of horses, which conveys a harmonious vision of the world and living beings. I attempted to pay homage to Mother Earth through a holistic vision of things and celebrate her quiet and cyclical simplicity.
Marian De Kort, a Dutch painter with a spontaneous background enriched by experiences in Indonesia, the Netherlands, Paris, and Rome, uses oil, ceramic, paper, and glass as her primary expressive mediums. Her works emerge from material experimentation that evolves from initial figuration to a refined conceptual abstraction, playing on gestures, graphic signs, and visual layers. Through vibrant colors such as red, blue, and gold, she communicates a profound spiritual and cosmological energy, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in intense emotions and reflections on the human condition.
