About this artwork
In my artwork, I embraced the vivacity of pop art, blending bold pigments with the tactile richness of bees wax. Each stroke is infused with a zest for life, capturing an effervescent spirit that seems to dance across the textured canvas. It wasn't just about creating an image, but about distilling a moment of pure, uninhibited delight into a visual form that resonates with warmth and exuberance. This piece is a celebration, an invitation to revel… in the joyfulness of existence, to bring that exultant energy into your space and let it resonate throughout.
« Don't fight against something, stand for something. I stand for freedom, peace, abundance and love. »
Marie-Danielle Leblanc is a prize winning Canadian artist with international exposure. With an eye towards environmentalism, Leblanc work with encaustic, an ancient technique using molten beeswax and pigments — the same process the Greeks and Egyptians used over 2,000 years ago. Some of their encaustic paintings, like the Fayum portraits, are still perfectly vibrant today. Her work continues this tradition, but with a contemporary vision. When you collect an encaustic painting, you’re not only acquiring art, you’re investing in something proven to last for millennia — timeless, natural, and beautiful.
