She saw her first Penguins in Ushuahia, Argentina.
She was amazed to watch them walk and swim from the sail boat.
They couldn't go on the island because they are a protected species, few left unfortunately because of the melting of the snow.

Encaustic is a wax-based paint, composed of : beeswax, damar resin and dry pigment.
I create my own high-quality encaustic paint. It’s made with 100% pure pharmaceutical grade (USP) beeswax, which has been filtered without the use of chemicals and then I add a Singapore-grade damar resin. To create the various colours, I melt in the pigment into the encaustic medium. All of this results in the highe

Marie-Danielle Leblanc is a prize winning Canadian artist with international exposure. With an eye towards environmentalism, Leblanc work with encaustic, an ancient technique using molten beeswax and pigments — the same process the Greeks and Egyptians used over 2,000 years ago. Some of their encaustic paintings, like the Fayum portraits, are still perfectly vibrant today. Her work continues this tradition, but with a contemporary vision.
