About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I wove a tapestry of emotions with bees wax and pigments. The abstract forms, textured and vibrant, convey the dynamic interplay of connection and individuality. The overlapping spheres suggest unity amid diversity. This creation is a visual symphony, an invitation to contemplate the harmonious yet complex nature of our interconnected existence. It's meant to stir the soul, energize spaces, and spark contemplative joy in every… onlooker.
« Don't fight against something, stand for something. I stand for freedom, peace, abundance and love. »
Marie-Danielle Leblanc is a prize winning Canadian artist with international exposure. With an eye towards environmentalism, Leblanc work with encaustic, an ancient technique using molten beeswax and pigments — the same process the Greeks and Egyptians used over 2,000 years ago. Some of their encaustic paintings, like the Fayum portraits, are still perfectly vibrant today. Her work continues this tradition, but with a contemporary vision. When you collect an encaustic painting, you’re not only acquiring art, you’re investing in something proven to last for millennia — timeless, natural, and beautiful.
