« Painting "The Girl in Yellow" allowed me to create myself first and then to establish myself as an artist: it allows me an inexhaustible inspiration and thus to flourish in my painting. »
"The girl in yellow", a well-defined and timeless style.
Through the continuous representation of this character, the French artist found herself.
''It was while wanting to paint this pretty little port of Saint-Goustan in Morbihan, in winter, that the idea of adding life and especially light came to me: ''The girl in yellow'' was born from this idea. She brings the place to life and the yellow represents the sun, the light, the woman in fact!
She has no face because all women can identify with her and, above all, this gives her a mysterious side: but who is she? the audience wonders.
Moreover, if I give her a face, it's necessarily someone, "The girl in yellow" becomes a person and then it's over: she's no longer "my" girl in yellow and then I don't want that.
I registered the trademark "The Girl in Yellow" and I'm really proud of it!
Thanks to her, I know where I'm going as a painter and I never get tired.
THANKS....
